Extended deadline for Abstract submission for the 34th Congress of FICE International

The deadline for abstract submission for the 34th FICE International Congress has been extended until 1st April. Please submit your abstracts though the online submission system: https://www.ortra.com/events/fice/Program/CallforPapers.aspx

The language in which the presentation will be given (English or Hebrew; most of the sessions will be held in English and only a limited number of sessions will be available in Hebrew, without translation)

The abstracts should be written in English and include the following:

• Title (up to 150 characters)

• Abstract body (up to 200 words) Background, purpose of the study, methodology, main findings and implications.

• Topic category (from the list of topic categories here)

• Presenter details First name and last name of the presenter/s, Position, academic degree, institutional affiliation, Email and phone number

•A brief (4-5 lines) biography in English should be submitted at the time of submission of the abstract.

Presentation types:

  • Oral Presentations: Oral presentations: Thematic session: Each 60-minute session will include three 20-minute presentations (15-minute presentations + 5 minutes for questions). The oral presentation can either focus on research presentation (including: background, methodology, findings and discussion) or on field experience presentation, which aims to allow professional/residential care settings directors to present specific programs or other aspects of their projects or initiatives.

  • Symposium: presenters can offer a symposium of 60 minutes with three to four lectures around a specific topic. They will be asked to submit the topic of their session, their chair, and the titles and abstracts of each presentation to be included in the symposium.

  • Round tables: These 60-minute sessions focusing on active discussion of a specific subject, aiming to encourage a dialogue between participants from various countries around common interests.

  • Workshops: Each workshop will last up to 60 minutes. The workshops allow participants to describe their special activities. The workshops usually include a presentation of a specific therapeutic / research / pedagogical approach by a number of participants, which provides the audience with an introduction to this approach in order to enable them to implement it in the future.

  • Poster sessions: These are an opportunity for Congress participants to learn about additional projects, innovative models, and research findings. Time will be allotted during the conference for visitors to explore the posters, discuss them with the exhibitors, or ask questions.

  • “Field Experience”: In order to enable Residential Care Settings or organizations around the world to present their work: therapeutic and educational projects or other projects involving the children and youth, or the staff or the children's parents, the conference will include a twenty-minute presentations of a unique project or initiative implemented in the residential care setting . Presentation proposals should be submitted as part of the call for papers . Please select the "Lecture" format and add the title "Field Experience" in the head of the abstract.

In your submission please include:

• the title of the project,

• Presenters' names and last name

• Position, Affiliation

• e-mail

• Phone number

• Rationale of the program, its content, manner of implementation, and if there is an evaluation of the project.

The projects will be displayed in a session together with two other projects (three projects in one-hour session).
