19 DAYS CAMPAIGN TO PREVENT ABUSE AND VIOLENCE AGAINST

CHILDREN AND YOUTH

FICE Romania, a NGO whose main mission is the protection and promotion of children's rights in Romania since its inception in 1990, continued in 2018 the tradition of association with the campaign initiated by the Summit of Women World, in Geneva.

As in 2017, the 19 Days of Prevention of Abuses and Violence against Children and Youth took place under the high patronage of the Romanian Senate (Commission for European Affairs) and in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, the National Authority for the Protection of Child's Rights and Adoption, The National Anti-Drug Agency, which created the framework for active involvement in the prevention of abuse and violence of any kind against children and young people for local communities, ministries, schools, kindergartens, children's and youth centers, children's clubs, day centers etc .


The 19 Days Campaign to prevent abuse and violence against children and young people in data, figures and images:

  • Over 100 workshops, roundtables, debates, participations in local, regional and national TV station broadcasts

  • Over 6.000 direct activities with and from children in kindergartens and participating schools

  • More than 500 activities carried out with parents or grandparents and relatives of children (in situations where parents are working abroad)

  • More than 3000 meetings with specialists (policemen, doctors, psychologists, priests, etc.)

  • Over 100 circles of compassion

  • forum theater and puppet theater (puppets)​
