Celebration in Romania of 20th anniversary of Romania-Israel collaboration on child protection issues
Prof. Toma Mares President of FICE Romania in collaboration with Prof. Emmanuel Grupper, President of FICE Israel organized in Romania a special program to celebrate 20 years of fruitful collaboration between Romania and Israel National sections. A delegation of 23 residential educators from 14 different residential programs in Israel, leaded by Mrs. Lia Meron-Berkovits and Malkamu Yakob from the Israeli Ministry of Education visited child protection programs in Romania during one week from 1-8 July 2018. The delegations met in the Romanian Parliament for a joint seminar under the auspices of Senator Gabriela Cretsu who serves also as Vice President of FICE Romania to share knowledge and exchange views on relevant topics. This is a unique and exemplary model of on-going professional exchanges between two FICE National sections that is a very efficient way to improve quality services for children and youth at risk in both countries.
