The International youth exchange „Video perspectives“ organized by Hungarian Directorate-General for Social Affairs and Child Protection and FICE Europe took place in Zamradi, Hungary from September 11th until September 17th 2017. The program was implemented by professionals from the film organisation “Kid’s eye”.
Project gathered 26 participants (with alternative care experience) from 7 European countries (Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, Romania, Serbia) and 18 professionals from the field of youth work (social workers, psychologists, social pedagogues, teachers) and film (movie makers, photographers, cameraman, musicians, make-up artists…).
During six days young adults (age 17 – 27) who are living or leaving care shared their personal experiences, emotions, thoughts, talents and with guidance of professional movie makers created 4 movies on 4 topics: care leaving, young people with disabilities, migration and addictions.
Four films and the film about working process were presented on the Conference “Quality of Alternative Care for Children and Youth in Europe”, on September 17th-18th in Esztragom, Hungary. After each film presentation representatives of young adults answered on questions about main message of the film and filming process.
