The respondent from Liberia works with children between the ages of 12-18 with the aim of supporting them to develop their talents so they can improve their own livelihood. Utilising hands-on training, field work and guidance counselling, the organization provides training in Basic Computing Skills, Catering, Carpentry and Tailoring.
Formal education is currently not available for people who want to work in the field of child and youth care, although pre-service training is conducted by vocational training institutions/schools. Professionals working with children and young people usually possess Practical Training Certificates
