One of the respondents works with children and young people aged 0-24 years living in child care institutions, which includes homes with as many as 100 children and group homes in apartments.  Creating a family type environment, work also includes supporting in after care until 24 years old. Currently the organization is focusing on developing small group homes instead of big institutions.

Another respondent provides research, vocational training for professionals, consultancy, mediation, legal and psychological support and advice for the sector, as well as summer camps for children and promoting their (talent) development.

Governmental training bodies and institutions provide various qualifications for those wishing to work in the field of child and youth care.  These include BA, MA, PhD in Social Pedagogy and education and vocational training as well

Hungarian members are interested in international collaborations and project partnerships with other organizations around the world.  Please contact the FICE office for further details.
