"CHILD ABUSE AND VIOLENCE – AN APPROACH IN THE CONTEXT OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC"

As you already know, the International Federation of Educational Communities - Romania Section (FICE Romania), has participated, since 2013, at the campaign „19 Days to Prevent Abuse and Violence against Children and Young People”, initiated worldwide by WWSF.
This year, despite the harsh conditions generated by the pandemic of COVID 19 in which the prevention activities had to take place, at the initiative of FICE Romania an impressive number of schools, other educational institutions and local communities have been involved in promoting the objectives of the campaign and to contribute to United Nations Objective 16.2: ending abuse, exploitation, child trafficking and all forms of violence against children by 2030.
To highlight the end of the Campaign, FICE Romania, together with the Romanian Senate - the Commission for European Affairs, organizes the international conference "Child abuse and violence - approach in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic".
The conference takes place at the end of the Campaign „19 Days of Prevention of Abuse and Violence against Children and Young People”. The choice of the day of 19 th November 2020 to organize this event is closely linked to the establishment of 19 November as the "International Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse".
The conference is an essential tool to contribute to the achievement of United Nations Goal 16.2 and is focused on the prevention of violence and abuse against children and young people, with impact in various spheres of the society.
The event is open to specialists in child protection, education, health, police, public authorities, other non-governmental organizations and social actors - psychologists, sociologists, teachers, social workers, magistrates, doctors, journalists, representatives of local and central public authorities.
Registration The conference will be organized online - Cisco WebEx. The day before the event you will receive the access data of the platform. Deadline for registration: November 10, 2020
