At the initiative of EPIC (Empowering children in care), CareDay 21 was held on February 19. Care Day is the world’s largest celebration of the rights of children and young people with care experience.

Numerous organizations and professionals working with children and young people in alternative care got involved on this day to celebrate this day with them.

Some activities were held, such as webinars and media campaigns, all for the purpose of raising awareness of the needs of children and youth in alternative care, as well as giving them space to be more visible.

One of the organizations that supported this event is our member FICE Croatia, which on the occasion of Care Day was involved in a media campaign by publishing a picture of staff and children and youth in alternative care.

Such events are extremely important for children and young people in alternative care because they encourage them to stand out in society and fight for their rights. In the future, we will continue to participate in such activities and advocate the organization of new activities of this type.
